Stimulate citizens to participate in the development of their communities.

CCI VISION

Organised local communities which provide opportunities for social inclusion, economic justice and environmental responsibility.

Seeking to fulfil the vision, the CCI staff and members implement programmes in line with its three main principles:

Social inclusion – Programme of new democratic approaches to community development through village/local boards, coordination groupings of civil society organisations and continued education and training for the representatives of village/local boards, urban districts and ethnic minorities in the fields of citizens’ participation in the decision making process at local and regional levels. Economic justice – The Programme Advocating Greater Inclusion of Businesses and Promoting the Development of Corporate Social Responsibility. The CCI places particular importance on the development of small and medium-sized companies and cooperatives in rural areas, because they form the basis of economic development in communities located outside county centres.

Environmental responsibility – Center for Civil Initiatives recognizes the stakeholders in the community caring for the environment in their work, educates the general public on sustainable development and promotes innovative models of conservation of natural beauty of the country.
